Welcome to my portfolio.

I am a botanical artist, designer, and author, with a deep passion for weaving nature into every aspect of my work. My portfolio is a reflection of my journey—exploring the delicate interplay between art and nature through my books, designs, book cover art, and botanical creations.

Each of the projects here showcases how different forms of artistic expression can flow into one another - where a pressed flower becomes a story, a daily observation turns into poetry, and imagination transforms into design. Each piece represents my belief that art lives in the gentle moments of everyday life, waiting to be discovered and shared.

Published Columns

The invitation to write for Deccan Herald came unexpectedly, but it aligned perfectly with my vision of gardening. Over years of tending my garden, I'd discovered that true gardening transcends merely growing plants - it's about creating living ecosystems where plants, pollinators, birds, and insects thrive together in harmony.
"Motley Garden" became my platform to share this holistic approach. While many view gardening as simply maintaining plants, I wanted to show readers how a garden can become a vibrant habitat. Each column would explore not just plant care, but the intricate relationships between flowers and their pollinators, the seasonal rhythms that bring different visitors, and the joy of watching this miniature ecosystem flourish.
The timing during lockdown felt serendipitous - as people were seeking connections with nature from their homes, I could share how even small urban gardens can become sanctuaries of biodiversity. Through these columns, I hoped to inspire readers to see gardening as more than a hobby - it's a way to participate in nature's grand symphony, right from our balconies and backyards.

Garden Art

A collection of botanical art featuring vibrant flowers, leaves, and other natural elements. They are playful, imaginative, colorful and whimsical designs. Each piece showcases the beauty of nature through an artistic expression. Since most of the elements are from the garden, I call it Garden Art.

Books

My journey as an author spans across diverse genres, with each book shaped by a unique spark of inspiration. ‘From the Anklets of a Homemaker’ (2013) captures life’s fleeting moments through micro-poems that reflect the beauty in the everyday. ‘Maya’s Garden Song’ invites young readers into a world of imagination, weaving poetry with the wonders of a child’s garden. ‘The Garden Art Journal’ blends my love for botanical art with mindful creativity, offering a space for reflection and artistic exploration.

Each book tells its own story—whether it’s uncovering meaning in the quiet rhythm of daily life, nurturing a child’s curiosity through nature, or encouraging self-expression through creative journaling. Across all my works, storytelling takes many forms, from the delicate brevity of poetry to the vibrant pages of an illustrated book, all rooted in a deep connection with life and nature.

Designs

In my design portfolio, I create book covers and logos using botanical art as my medium. Each piece combines natural elements - flowers, leaves, and twigs - to tell visual stories. This unique approach brings organic beauty to contemporary design, resulting in artwork that bridges nature and modern aesthetics.
